Understand your personal leadership style
There is growing pressure on all individuals, particularly leaders, to deliver improved levels of performance. The situation in which most people operate today is becoming more complex, with no clear-cut ‘right’ answers to problems, and leaders are under greater scrutiny than ever before to deliver what is required of them - adding real value to their business.
In the past, when so-called ‘charisma’ and strength of character dominated our concepts of leadership, it was relatively easy for a persuasive individual to influence people through clever rhetoric and emotional appeal. In the modern complex world based on the increasing use of technology, those factors seem less significant. What we are seeing now is a greater emphasis on leadership competence that is more about what leaders do than what they appear to be. So what do leaders actually do? What is this magical set of attributes and actions, which enable an individual to pull people together and achieve extraordinary results?
This module examines a delegates preferred leadership style and the degree of flex they can apply to varying their style as needs change. It enables leaders to undertake a series of experiential exercises each requiring different skills from the leader, and then get feedback from those they have led during the exercise.
